Kerux Incorporated was founded in 1986 at Escondido, California. The name of the corporation is derived from the Greek word for "herald," "proclaimer," "preacher. On the opening of Northwest Theological Seminary in Lynnwood, Washington in 2001, the corporation was transferred to the seminary and the name of the journal was changed to "Kerux: The Journal of Northwest Theological Seminary." The journal prints biblical-theological material in the Reformed/Calvinistic tradition. Geerhardus Vos (1862-1949), Professor of Biblical Theology at Princeton Theological Seminary from 1893-1932, was the founding father of Reformed Biblical Theology. His books, articles, sermons, and poetry describe the fundamental principles of the Reformed biblical theological method. All contemporary practitioners of a genuine Reformed Biblical Theology owe an inestimable debt to Vos.
