Union Kitchen Information

Union Kitchen is Washington, DC’s certified shared commercial kitchen where food businesses produce from first batch to full scale — packaged brands, meal delivery, and everything in between. We operate a 30,000-square-foot licensed production facility at 1625 Eckington Place NE. Members get shared commercial equipment, cold storage, loading docks, and office space, so a first test batch and a standing production week can happen in the same building. The kitchen is USDA-, FDA-, and gluten-free-certified and Whole Foods–approved. Those credentials are available when a buyer or inspector requires them. Most members are here to make snacks, beverages, prepared food, and meal programs. Membership is monthly. Tiers are based on equipment days, from early R&D through unlimited production. You can use the kitchen without joining an accelerator. Two things sit next to the kitchen, and neither replaces it. Union Kitchen grocery stores are a real first shelf for some member products.
