The Butcher’s Daughter is a plant-based restaurant, cafe, juice bar and “vegetable slaughterhouse." We treat fruits and vegetables as a butcher would meat: We chop, fillet and carve fresh produce into healthy vegetarian dishes and press them into pretty juices.
Our three locations serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. We take pride in our daily-changing menu, which is 100% vegetarian, and mostly vegan and gluten-free. We can always prepare substitutions for most dietary restrictions.
Porter Road is an online butcher shop, connecting the nation with high quality, pasture-raised, hand-cut meat.
While working together in 2010, Porter Road co-founders Chris and James learned how hard it was to consistently get their hands on quality meat from sources they trusted, and knew they couldn't be the only ones looking for a better way.
So, they took matters into our own hands and started a local butcher shop to bring the best local, pasture-raised meat to Nashville. In 2018, we launched rorterroad.com nationwide and are determined to share our delicious and responsibly sourced products with anyone in search of a better way to buy meat.
Jim Lahey studied sculpture before learning the art of bread baking in Italy. When he returned to New York City in 1994, he opened Sullivan St Bakery in Soho with little more than the wild yeast he hand-cultivated in Italy and a desire to bring the craft of small-batch bread baking to America.
In October 2000, Lahey built the Sullivan St Bakery headquarters in Hell’s Kitchen, where he has become renowned not just for his bread, but for his Roman-style pizza, rustic Italian pastries and cookies.
Today, more than 340 of New York City’s finest restaurants and specialty food markets—like Jean Georges, Gramercy Tavern, ABC Kitchen, Zabar’s and Dean & Deluca—are showcases for the bakery’s acclaimed bread.
