Founded in 2008 by Joel King, Music Feeds became one of Australia’s pioneering digital music publications during the early evolution of online music media, growing into the country’s largest music publisher by 2013 according to Nielsen rankings. In 2013, Music Feeds expanded into live-session production and artist-focused digital media with the launch of Music Feeds Studio inside Sydney’s iconic Megaphon Studios. The studio produced hundreds of artist livestreams, interviews and performances during the early era of online music streaming. Featured artists included Ghost, Sticky Fingers, Vance Joy, Franz Ferdinand, MGMT, Courtney Barnett, Corey Taylor, Wolfmother, DZ Deathrays and more. Music Feeds was acquired by Evolve Media LLC in 2014, marking the launch of Evolve’s Australian publishing expansion. Today, Music Feeds remains one of Australia’s most recognised music media brands.
