Zena O'Connor Information

Zena O'Connor established Design Research Associates in 2006, an evidence-based color design and research consultancy. A trained designer with extensive experience in design and research, Zena is one of a handful of people with a PhD that investigated the interface between color and human response. Zena works on a diverse range of projects: evidence-based color strategies, color insight and validation, environmental visual literacy and color for branding, interior design, healthcare, and aged care. Clients are diverse and include Aevum Limited, Art Gallery of NSW, Arts Health Institute, Arvida Group, Auckland District Health Board, Auckland City Hospital, Bonds Coates Patons, Bupa, Dept. of Public Works, Hexham Textiles, ING Communities, Juvenile Justice NSW, Klein Architects, Lifemark Design NZ, Macquarie University, Museum of Contemporary Art, National Textiles, New Zealand Health Design Council, Norna.AI, North Sydney Council, Porter Novelli, Powerhouse Museum, Resene Paints, SBS Television, Sydney Design School, Speedo Swimwear, Taylor Fry, University of Sydney, University of NSW and numerous private clients.
