You Do The Maths Information

The Take Sum Risks cards have gone down a storm with our students! I have been using You Do The Maths resources for a number of years and have always found them to be of the highest quality. I have paired the YouTube channel with the accompanying text and it has proved to be my go to resource. One of the greatest benefits of You Do the Maths is that it is accessible for both teachers and students and having the YouTube channel allows you to access the material on the go. My seventh graders really like the game. They ask if we can play the Australian game. It was great to have when I started working with integers. I use it during my time at the end of the day when I have small groups. It works well with all skill levels. I will try it with my 8th graders soon. The kids like the excitement of the strikes and the double cards. We talked about how many strikes, negatives, and higher point cards are in each color. This will be good to examine when we do more with probability.
