 Whilst there are large proprietary HR applications that can record skills, (Oracle, Cornerstone-on-demand, Workday, etc.) they are generalist systems, not specifically tailored to the unique needs of hospital nursing.    For most hospitals, such skills data (if tracked at all) are collected in disparate uncontrolled spreadsheets and uploaded in highly abbreviated form to corporate HR Systems (often only for compliance reasons). This data is of limited value to the hospitals in its condensed format, especially for the management of skills and competencies. However, this data is essential for ensuring hospital compliance, patient safety, and continuous improvement of patient outcomes. 
 By digitizing previously manual and paper-based systems, Xapimed enables organizations to reduce human error, as well as provides healthcare organizations with more complex data for analysis.
