WSRE-TV is a non-commercial television station located in Pensacola, Florida, that provides quality educational, cultural and public affairs programming as well as a multitude of public outreach services to the Northwest Florida and South Alabama area. WSRE-TV serves a diverse spectrum of viewers. Currently, 70,000 households tune-in to WSRE-TV on a cumulative, weekly basis. WSRE-TV first signed on the air in 1967. WSRE-TV is licensed to the District Board of Trustees of Pensacola State College. Its 43,000 square foot facility includes three studios that are used to produce local programming. The facility houses a full-time staff, as well as volunteers who contribute thousands of hours of service on a regular basis. WSRE-TV's primary sources of funding are individual contributions, corporate sponsorships and state and federal funding.
