The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

With national offices in Louisville, Kentucky, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) focuses on the national and international mission work of the church. It serves and works with congregations, presbyteries, and synods as the central provider of resources that enable individuals, congregations, and governing bodies to carry forth the mission of Jesus Christ in the world. The work at the Presbyterian Center is carried out by approximately 325 staff members who provide overall support for the mission of the church.

As a denomination we are a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. We were founded in 1908 to spread the message of scriptural holiness (Christlike living) across the nations. Today the Church of the Nazarene is located in 159 world areas.
