UK Genetic Testing Network (UKGTN) Information

The UK Genetic Testing Network (UKGTN) is an advisory organisation to the Department of Health and NHS on genetic testing services for UK patients. A small project team and four working groups carry out the work on behalf of the UKGTN Clinical and Scientific Advisory Group. Members form a collaborative group of NHS laboratory scientists, clinical geneticists, genetics commissioners and patient representatives. UKGTN's role is to support NHS genetic testing services that diagnose highly penetrant rare inherited or chromosomal conditions in patients and their at risk relatives.
