ThunderCall Information

ThunderCall is a severe weather early warning service (available by subscription only in the contiguous 48 States) that will call your telephone and deliver a prerecorded alert message within seconds after a warning is issued by the NWS for your area. There's nothing else like it available today. ThunderCall utilizes state of the art satellite equipment to capture severe weather warnings within seconds after they are issued by local National Weather Service (NWS) Meteorologists across the country. ThunderCall computers instantly interpret each bulletin to determine the severity of the warning* and the exact area(s) affected. If the NWS bulletin has identified a severe storm* the ThunderCall system creates a calling database of all ThunderCall subscribers in the potential path of the storm. This calling database is submitted (within seconds) to the massive ThunderCall automated calling system (see above diagram). ThunderCall utilizes a massive network of computerized dialers connected to thousands of telephone lines. ThunderCall is capable of delivering over One Million weather warning calls per day ! The dialing speed of ThunderCall makes it possible to call our subscribers within seconds after a warning is issued for their area. ThunderCalls are delivered so quickly they often arrive before any other warnings are made public usually before weather radio broadcasts!
