The Queen’s Fund provides emergency funding to single Victorian women in crisis in the form of financial grants up to $400. The assistance can help prevent homelessness, enable a woman to escape domestic violence, provide education or training for a woman and/or her children, pay essential medical bills or provide crucial breathing space so a woman can get her life back on track. We work with social workers from 240+ welfare agencies across Victoria who are in the best position to determine how to help the woman in need. They continue to support her after our emergency relief has been provided. Founded in 1887, we are one of Victoria’s oldest charities. Our committee is unpaid and we have very low overheads. Any overheads we do have are covered by a historical bequest. This means 100% of the money you donate goes to the women and children who need it most.
