THE POINTE DANCE ARTS in Hoover is proud to be regarded as the Birmingham area's most respected dance school. Our studio provides a fun, family-friendly environment in which your child will learn, laugh, and grow with us for years to come. Our fully professional staff is second-to-none. Each instructor emphasizes superior dance technique in a creative, exciting environment. The Pointe Dance Arts students are known throughout the dance community for their quality dance technique, strong work ethic and grace. We are proud to have dancers who have studied with and/or received scholarships to prestigious dance programs such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City, The Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, The American Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet New York, Nashville Ballet, Alabama Ballet, and numerous university dance programs. At The Pointe, we believe that the highest quality dance education comes from having the best instructors and in exposing dancers to opportunities not available to the average dance student. Our students attend dance conventions and travel to various cities for study - most recently including New York City and Los Angeles. Master teachers and choreographers are brought in annually to teach workshops for The Pointe dancers. Our students are also given numerous opportunities to perform throughout the community. We are conveniently located off of Rocky Ridge Road in Hoover. Our facility has 5 spacious dance rooms equipped with mirrors, ballet barres and sprung dance flooring. Parents may view classes through our closed circuit television or our parent observation area. We offer classes for ages 2 thru adult.
