The Maria Cristina Foundation Information

The Maria Cristina Foundation(MCF) is a non-profit organisation registered in United Kingdom 1140670 Founded by Maria Conceicao in 2005, the foundation has been effectively breaking the chains of inter-generation cycles of poverty through education in Dhaka, Bangladesh. MCF has improved the living situations in the slums, empowered women by educating and training them, providing medical aid and vaccinations, proper disposal of garbage, teaching them on hygiene and cleanliness, building schools and providing education to 200 underprivileged children, and building several centres to upgrade the community. MCF has proven that with the proper education, the list of opportunities are endless. By doing this, we provide them with generations worth of opportunities which they have never been presented with. With the environment the slums has surrounded them with, their only dreams used to be of clean water and food to eat on a daily basis but with The Maria Cristina Foundation, we invite them to a whole new level of dreams being turned into reality one campaign at a time. We aim to provide them with the best education there is so as to groom them to face the competitive world and truly make them stand out. Our programs involve providing the children and their families scholarships from kindergarten level to bachelor’s degree level and adult education programs, access to employment opportunities in Dubai, and tailor made family support packages.
