Sunrise Outfitting Information

Sunrise Outfitting, Inc. is a fully licensed guide service operating out of southeastern Utah, in San Juan County. Lloyd Nielson is the owner/operator of Sunrise, with the assistance of his wife, Sylvia. Sunrise Outfitting has been in business for sixteen years. I am a life-long native of this area, and have been exploring and hunting in San Juan County most of my life. I have been hunting in this area for 29 years, and have owned and trained my own dogs for over 18 years. I serve as a volunteer with the Emergency Medical Services, trained as an Intermediate EMT and am also a member of the Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team. I do most the guiding myself, but I am often assisted by several other family members and friends, who are well-experienced in the hunting business also. We all love hunting and the outdoors, and aim to make your hunting experience with us one you will always remember. Sunrise Outfitting specializes in mountain lion hunts with the use of a great pack of hound dogs. We also provide guide services for elk, mule deer, black bear, desert bighorn sheep, turkeys, and even prairie dogs and coyotes. Sunrise Outfitting operates, for the most part, in San Juan County in Southeastern Utah. We hunt on public lands managed by the Forest Service and BLM. We operate legally with special use permits and fees kept current. We have also branched out to Grand County to the north and to the Henry Mountains to the west.
