Summit Dance Academy Information

?At Summit Dance Academy we pride ourselves on taking an innovative and interactive approach in the education of dance. We feel that exposing the dancer's to as many forms of each art form will help develop their passion for the arts. Our ballet program is based on the Vaganova School of Ballet, founded in Russia, in addition to supplementing the dancer's knowledge with the Italian Cecchetti method, founded by Enrico Cecchetti, cole Franaise, a French method, and the Balanchine method, which is American,to name a few. It is important to us that our dancer's are well versed in all forms of ballet. We will also be offering multiple guest classes with teachers who specialize in each style. We also feel that exposing our dancer's to the performance aspect of ballet will help develop their love for the art. Each year we will offer a winter and spring ballet. To develop their education in the classical ballets, we will be focusing on a classic ballet each month. The dancer's will be exposed to the music, samplings of the choreography, and we will be playing the video in the lounge. This will help create a well rounded knowledge of the ballets.
