Starbucks Information

Starbucks story began in 1971 in Seattle in the United States, where in the historic Pike Place Market, first small café has been opened. There, some of the world's finest fresh-roasted whole bean coffees were served. Both the name and the logo of Starbucks are deeply rooted in the seafaring tradition and symbolism, which in turn is related to history of coffee trade. Howard Schulz first walked into a Starbucks store in 1981. He picked up the brand philosophy straight away and soon after he became the Starbucks employee. Howard decided to bring to Starbucks stores the unique atmosphere of the European cafes, which he visited during the stay in Italy. He had a vision to bring the Italian coffeehouse tradition to the United States, to create a place for conversation and a sense of community - a third place between work and home. From the beginning, Starbucks set out the model of running a company whose mission is to inspire and nurture human spirit - one person, one cup, one neighbourhood at a time. And it's wonderful and rich coffee tradition is completed with sense of community.
