In 1849, Isidore Boudin combined his skill of French bread baking with fermented wild yeast nurtured by the fog-cooled air. This magical combination created The Original San Francisco Sourdough™ – Boudin. The bread with its dark golden crust, soft, chewy center, and distinctive flavor soon became a local favorite. We are San Francisco’s oldest continuously operating business. At Hog Island Oyster we aim to cultivate, serve and enjoy the best oyster experience possible. We take care and effort hand raising sustainable shellfish, which we proudly serve at our farm in Marshall and our restaurants in Marshall, San Francisco, Napa and Larkspur.

The world-famous Cliff House is part of the Sutro Historic Landscape District and is also the crown jewel of the largest urban national park in the United States. Dine in the 1909 neoclassical Cliff House where years of history have been brought back to life with the restoration completed in 2004. Magnificent views of Ocean Beach and Seal Rocks add to the historic ambiance, and if luck is with you, there will be some whales frolicking in the water right below your table. These gentle giants migrate north from Baja for the summer and the show is always impressive. Sutro’s is a stylish yet casual restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows and stunning panoramic ocean views. Housed in the Sutro Wing, the restaurant draws on the architecture of the Sutro Baths, recalling an era of elegance and grace. The rich history of the Sutro Baths combined with the modernistic appeal of the 21st century has established a fascinating connection between past and present. Since 1863 the Cliff House has been famous for fine food, excellent service, and unparalleled ocean views. There are very few meeting or special event venues that can offer historic charm and ambiance dating back to the turn of the century. With the restoration and renovations of 2003, the modern amenities that were added make the Terrace Room the perfect venue for every type of event.
