The Seafood Shack Marina, Bar & Grill has been a Cortez landmark since 1971. Located on the Intracoastal Waterway in Cortez, Florida, The Seafood Shack is accessible by both land and sea.
The Seafood Shack Marina was built on the sunny seaside of Cortez - a fishing village that was nicknamed “The Kitchen” by many residents for its wealth of fish, scallops and other delicious seafood. The marina is fully accommodating with 68 deep water and sailboat friendly slips. Boaters enjoy stunning sunsets off the Gulf Coast day after day.
With the success of the marina came the desire for fresh seafood. In 1972, a 180-seat restaurant was added and The Seafood Shack Bar & Grill was born! The restaurant offers an exciting new menu featuring casual American cuisine with a Gulf Coastal seafood sensibility. With impressive new ownership and management, The Seafood Shack is better than ever.
The Seafood Shack offers a private event space on the 2nd floor of the restaurant called The Neptune Room. Up to 425 guests can enjoy a special event with a perfect panorama of the southwest Gulf Coast. The Seafood Shack is an ideal venue for weddings, business meetings and other social gatherings and celebrations!
In 2014, the marina and restaurant were acquired by Toronto, Canada-based development firm, VANDYK group of companies. Ownership of The Seafood Shack Marina, Bar & Grill may have changed hands, but the traditions are still savored and experiences still thriving…
In 1976, a sport fisherman, business partner, boat captain, and gourmet chef joined forces to open The Fish Market. Not one of them had notable experience in the restaurant business, but their individual and collective passion for seafood was deep enough to drive them toward their vision:
A lively, welcoming restaurant serving the freshest seafood, prepared to perfection, at an honest price.
Harbor House Seafood boasts an oyster packing facility on site and a 17,000 sq ft warehouse where fish is special cut daily for delivery to customers, and also is a facility for housing lobsters and crabmeat. In October 2007 we acquired a second facility in NJ which is situated directly on the Delaware Bay and has its own fleet of boats. This allows us to provide more products to our customers. In addition we are HAACP approved.
Harbor House Seafood, Inc uses the vast resources of the bay and our fleet of boats to harvest products from public beds in season and our own private beds whereby products are available 12 months a year. We offer clams, oysters, crabs and all types of local fish to our customers on both coasts. We have our own brand “Chesapeake’s Best Brand” of oysters, clams, blue crab, fresh fish and local crab meat. Harbor House is also a direct importer of our own brand of Indonesian crabmeat (Portunus Pelagicu) species.
At Harbor House, our main goal is to promote the confidence of our product.
