Rita Dance Academy Information

Its mission is to offer an all-encompassing training in Kathak Dance by emphasizing on a thorough study of Kathak Dance along with its associated music, choreography and stagecraft. Kathak is a dance style prevalent in northern India. It is portrayed as one of the most sophisticated, popular and the oldest classical dance style in India. RDA has taken pride in promoting the art, history, and cultural heritage of India to the children settled in America through the means of Kathak dance. RDA helps build Confidence, Attitude, Teamwork and Self-respect (CATS) in their students with the help of dance. By providing the opportunity to perform on stage, Rita Dance Academy helps in creating a sense of pride and accomplishment in their students. Established in 2003, this unique institution is based at North Brunswick, New Jersey (USA). It also offers the classes in Edison, Metuchen and Marlboro in New Jersey and in West Chester and Horsham townships in Pennsylvania. Rita Dance Academy is an affiliated institution of Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, India. Pracheen Kala Kendra is an organization dedicated to Indian Art and Music since 1953. As a result, our students have an option to combine their learning experience and academics. They can optionally work towards their certificate and/or diploma in Kathak awarded by Pracheen Kala Kendra.
