Positive Behaviour Support Services - Redstone PBS Information

Redstone PBS is an independent provider of positive behaviour support services. We deliver consultancy and training to organisations supporting or educating adults and children who may be at risk of presenting with behaviours that challenge which impact on their quality of life and ability to access education or their community. We also work directly with people and their families. Services are provided across the UK and we are based in the North West. We provide services that will:- ✓ Improve the quality of life and opportunities for the focus person and those around them ✓ Reduce any behaviours that challenge through person-centred, socially valid, ethical and evidence based approaches. ✓ Support whole service implementation of positive behaviour support. Redstone is unique organisation providing a high level of expertise both for individual focussed assessment and interventions as well as a whole organisation approach to positive behaviour support. For individuals whose behaviour presents a significant challenge with impact on their quality of life we can provide a detailed and comprehensive assessment and intervention plan with on-going support to implement more complex interventions. A whole organisation approach to PBS involves introducing organisation wide initiatives and training for staff, rather than being aimed at a specific focus person. We work with organisations to develop their PBS strategy, implement initiatives and training and evaluate their effectiveness. This approach can reduce the use of restrictive strategies such as physical restraint, seclusion and ‘as required’ medication by bringing about high quality support throughout an organisation.
