Pelephone Communications Ltd is a pioneer in the Israeli telecommunication industry. The company was established in 1986 by Motorola and Tadiran. Since 2004 Pelephone became a wholly owned subsidiary company of “Bezeq”, Israel’s largest and most prominent telecommunication corporation. Pelephone provides cellular communication services in Israel and abroad, offering a variety of attractive mobile plans made to match the diverse needs of Israeli clients. Pelephone is a leader in the business sector, servicing large and various clients in diverse market segments such as high-tech, banking, aviation, retail, automobile and more. Currently (2019) the firm provides services to 2.3 million subscribers and employing 2,300 personnel, mostly working in client service and sales functions. Pelephone has announced the launch of its 5G network. Called 'Pelephone Plus' the network will begin operating as soon as the company receives the appropriate frequencies. Bezeq unit Pelephone has already built a network of hundreds of sites in recent months that will become commercial as soon as the frequencies are allocated.
