Optima was founded and began operations in 1953 Optima 1953 became the first company to import and sell photocopiers in Iceland, and has kept the activities continued ever since, or more than 65 years. 1965 Optima received the mandate for Nashua photocopiers and has sold and served them since. Indeed, the name was changed from Nashua to Nashuatec a few years ago and remains so now. Late in 1995 Xerox A / S in Denmark chose Optima as dealer in Iceland for Xerox photocopiers and various other equipment and began the installation of equipment in 1996. The first digital Xerox DocuTech "printing machines" were sold and installed in late 1998 and followed including productive DocuPrint printers and several digital color machines DocuColor. In mid 2007 the company bought Bedco & Mathiasen ehf.
