Open Doors works in over 60 countries to support Christians who face attack and discrimination for their faith in Jesus. We work through local people to provide persecuted Christians with Bibles and Christian books, training, trauma care, livelihood skills, legal support, and emergency aid, amongst other projects. The organisation was founded in 1955 by Brother Andrew, author of the Christian classic ‘God’s Smuggler’. Open Doors UK & Ireland exists to mobilise the church in the UK & Ireland to pray, give and speak out for their persecuted church family, as well as enabling Christians to learn from their persecuted brothers and sisters about what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. By joining the Open Doors team, you will become part of a global movement of men and women who are using their God-given talents to strengthen the church to continue to hold out the hope of the gospel, even in the places where it is most fiercely opposed. As you serve the persecuted church, not only will you grow in your professional skills, but your faith will grow as you are inspired by the courage of our persecuted brothers and sisters, and see that your work is really making a difference. For more information on the work of Open Doors, visit www.opendoorsuk.org/about/careers.php All jobs at Open Doors have an occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 to be held by an active, practising Christian who assents to our statement of faith.
