Integrated Heritage Project (IHP) Information

IHP is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection of cultural heritage in developing countries, through education, training, and capacity building for local communities. Historical sites around the world are subjected to destruction and deterioration as a result of war, poverty, and the ravages of time. Unchecked tourism is impacting the fabric of sites, and also the spiritual, cultural, and aesthetic experience for local communities and visitors. IHP seeks to empower local communities to be stewards of their own heritage, through education, training, and capacity building, as tools for sustainable economic development. Integral to IHP’s efforts are the values of Integration, Education, Collaboration, and being Community Driven.
