If you are not familiar with NorthWoods Strings, we have been helping students in the Hayward area with string instrument instruction for over ten years now. We have accomplished much during these years, and are positioning ourselves to accomplish much more. We are dedicated to fostering a commitment to individual growth through our instrument lessons, as well as working to grow a multi-generational, multi-cultural community of music through other musical activities. We would like to develop our students toward an understanding of inter-cultural appreciation and build cooperation within, while also teaching them that service is the foundation of the community. Our lesson program is strong, starting with our high quality staff, but we would like to make it more accessible to all. We feel that art and music are foundational to learning, teaching children to be observant and creative, and forming confidence that is integral to other thoughts and endeavors in life. In a society that has been losing it's priority for the arts, families lose focus for the involvement of their children in the arts.
