Established in 1983, Midwest Musical Imports started out as a small home business offering Lorée oboes, English horns, and accessories. Since then, the company has expanded to include a large selection of bassoons, clarinets, and saxophones of various brands. It is the exclusive U.S. importer of Püchner bassoons. In 2017, Midwest Musical Imports relocated to its current location in the Fisk Building in the beautiful Como neighborhood of Minneapolis, where it houses an intimate recital hall, a fully-equipped repair shop, and large, open space for its sales staff and accessories. In June of 2024, clarinet specialist Tori Okwabi, D.M., became the new owner of Midwest Musical Imports, establishing a new generation of quality service that will be sure to expand for many years to come.
