Manos Unidas Information

Manos Unidas is an American non-profit organization that works in Nicaragua to ensure equal access to educational and vocational opportunities for deaf children and young deaf adults. We provide access to sign language, Spanish literacy, numeracy, and real-life job skills so that deaf Nicaraguans can become contributing members of their society and the Deaf community. Manos Unidas runs community-based deaf education programs in rural areas of Nicaragua, trains educators at the post-elementary, post-high school, and university levels, and provides vocational opportunities for deaf children and young deaf adults.
