In 2020, 141 CPA Co-op member-owners and participants collaborated on $15.1 Million in contracts and purchases. $7.9 Million (53%) of CPAs Co-ops 2020 contracts went to local, small businesses in the DC Metro Region. $3.6 Million in contracts went to black owned, Hispanic owned, women owned, and/or immigrant owned businesses. What started as a 12 party collective energy purchase in 2011 grew to become a full-fledged cooperative in 2014. CPA Co-op is now a self-sustaining purchasing cooperative in Washington D.C. We are seeding new cooperatives in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Illinois and hosting entrepreneur incubators for leaders in new territories, and serving as a vehicle for socially transformative economic innovation. The Community Purchasing Alliance enabled our church to get a new roof on the building... We have a miracle. Rev. Dr. Brian Jackson at Randall Memorial UMC, Deanwood, Washington DC
