Maison Mère is an Australian small-business/start-up alcohol producer that exists to compliment and empower the emerging culture of shared and meaningful experiences. One guiding principle is to detach the enjoyment of cocktails and strong spirits from masculine connotations and ‘the bar scene,’ with a focus on being gender-neutral and all-encompassing. Our goal is to develop a new language for the creation and marketing of alcoholic products which disrupts traditional gate-keeping of ‘who is allowed to enjoy what’ and instead focuses on shared experiences. We are doing this by capitalising on the growing online sales channels and their emergent consumer behaviour, with a focus on direct to consumer and marketplaces (such as Amazon). Maison Mère launched the first line of ready-to-drink bottled cocktails for Australia-wide distribution at the end of 2021, under the brand PRIVÉE. PRIVÉE has been featured in Broadsheet and our signature Gin Martini was a finalist in the Drink Easy Award’s 2022 competition.
