Learn2Live a non-profit organization based in Cape Town, South Africa, that aims to create a society where children and adults have proper educational opportunities, specifically investing in the area of early childhood development and sustainable living. VISION Our focus is laying a good foundation during the first 1 000 days of a child’s life, specifically in the area of stimulation, nutrition, love and safety, setting the child up for better learning success at school and creating the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty and secure a better future for themselves and their families. MISSION We have various projects that work holistically together to reach this goal, namely: 1. The Registration Project: Involves the facilitation of the ECD centre registration process with the Department of Social Development, leadership development and curriculum support. 2. Curriculum Training: Training ECD centres in a 0-3 curriculum, providing the necessary support resources and assisting with the practical implementation of the curriculum. 3. Library: A puzzle, book and toy library for the benefit of the ECD centres. 4. Brainfood Project: Bringing educational programmes and nutritious meals to vulnerable children on the street. 5. Homegrown Project: A Nutrition and Health Awareness Program to educate and encourage children, parents and principals to live healthier lives. It also involves Cook and Vegetable Gardening Training, to assist the schools and communities in planting and maintaining their own vegetable gardens.
