Our mission is to create and accelerate, through strategic partnerships, Economic Development Organizations to empower the Latino business community in the Southeast. Our purpose is to become the premier catalyst of Economic Development for the Latino community to impact the prosperity of their region. The Latino population continues to grow in the Southeastern states. In 2011 more than 3 million Latinos across the states of North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Louisiana, Alabama, Kentucky and Mississippi had a total estimated economic impact of more than $39.5 billion. The LAEDC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation founded in 2014 to help the Southeastern Latino community build business acumen, develop needed local economy skill sets and understand the economic and political benefits of working together as a community.
