Explorer Post 1010 Information

We fly quad-copters in the UAS4STEM competition. We did well in 2019 and are working to improve. We were challenged in 2019/20 . We are ready to roll again. We build complex autonomous robots for the Botball Educational Robotics competition. We rocked in 2019 . We will repeat our on-line Open House event again on Monday, September 28 at 7pm. Our FIRST Tech Challenge Team 6417 had some challenges in 2019, but are ready to take on the 2020 game. We will create a robot to compete following the 2020 rules ( Part 1 , Part 2 ). We have a field in the Science Center storefront and are starting to design and build. We have three teams in The American Rocketry Challenge for 2020/21. We are designing to the TARC 2020 rules . We will build rockets and fly many times to refine our models and procedures. We hope to return to the national finals in Virginia in May 2021. Our Botball Team 160 is registered in the Botball 2020/21 program. We have a competition field in the Science Center storefront and built robots for the 2020 competition, when it was canceled. We followed the 2020/21 rules . We are planning for a regional tournament at Annandale HS in Virginia in April 2021, and a global conference in July at Concord NC. In February 2020, we registered again in the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) competition. We were planning to win the regional competition again, but it was canceled. We then planned to participate in the national tournament at the AMA site in Muncie Indiana but it was canceled. We are ready to try again. We have Behavior Rules and Policies that guide our program.
