LADYS Program CVILLE Information

The Leadership, Advancement and Development of our Young Sisters (LADYS) Program provides mentorship and support to young women of color in Charlottesville, Virginia between the ages of 14-18, with a focus on college and career preparation. The LADYS Mentorship Program envisions young women well-equipped for life after high school, transitioning to college or preparing for other post-secondary options such as starting professional careers, while taking with them the necessary skills to effectively communicate and network amongst peers. At a one-to-one model, female students from the University of Virginia serve as mentors to a high school females living in Charlottesville, Virginia. Our program includes workshops, bonding, special events at the University of Virginia, and family engagement. LADYS Program CVILLE is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, all members of Sigma Lambda psilon/Senoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Incorporated. The program works closely with the Alpha Rho Chapter at the University of Virginia.
