Walk Carefully on Mother Nature. Kavat has been making shoes for more than 80 years. It all started in Kumla, Sweden, where our founder Ragnar Karlsson began making shoes with a simple belief in quality and craftsmanship. Our headquarters remain here today, not far from where the Kavat story began. Eight decades later, the idea is still remarkably relevant. Make good shoes. Make them comfortable. Make them to be worn, cared for and worn again. We believe that quality is one of the foundations of responsible consumption. A well made pair of shoes should not become irrelevant after one season. It should age with character, carry memories and, whenever possible, be passed on to the next wearer. Our roots are in traditional shoemaking, but we have never believed in standing still. Over the years, craftsmanship has been combined with new technology, carefully selected materials and a constant ambition to make better footwear with less impact. Leather continues to play an important role in what we do. It is durable, breathable and naturally adapts to the foot, qualities that have made it relevant for generations. We always use chrome free leather closest to the foot. Today, Kavat is worn by children and adults in markets around the world.
