MJL is the leading non-denominational Jewish media organization. Through its various web products—MyJewishLearning.com, Kveller.com, Jewniverse.com—MJL educates and engages more than 700,000 people a month. MJL has been included in the last four editions of Slingshot: A Resource Guide to Jewish Innovation, an annual compilation of the 50 most inspiring and innovation organizations in the North American Jewish Community, and has won multiple American Jewish Press Association Awards for “Most Outstanding” Jewish website. Comprised of a trio of active websites, MJL currently has three main components: MyJewishLearning.com focuses on Jewish education and knowledge--everything from guidelines on religious customs, etiquette and ritual to learning about obscure Jewish philosophers. It's also the home to 7 blogs. Kveller.com is a Jewish parenting website and online community which is a resource and lifeline for Jewish parents. Temple Israel of the Poconos takes pride in its historic mission of providing a home where Judaism and the Jewish community of the Greater Pocono area can flourish. It takes pride in its history of being the vital center of Pocono Jewish life. Temple Israel of the Poconos is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. The goal of our religious school program is to provide a Jewish education that will enrich the lives of our children and their families and insure Jewish continuity for generations to come. Through the study of prayer, Hebrew, Jewish history, the practice of acts of charity, kindness and compassion and identification with the state of Israel, we will give each child the opportunity to develop his life in keeping with our Jewish heritage, traditions, and values. We stand together with Jewish communities around the globe and stand proudly with the democratic State of Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people. We support all initiatives which will lead to true peace and security for Israelis and for all peace loving groups in the region who believe in a peaceful and prosperous future for the children.
