Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum Information

Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum (JPPM) is a 560-acre park located on the Patuxent River in rural Calvert County, Maryland. JPPM is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is home to more than 70 identified archaeological sites, and contains museum spaces, historic houses and outbuildings, the Maryland Archaeology Conservation Laboratory (MAC Lab), and recreational facilities. Our mission is to connect people to the past and support the preservation of Maryland's cultural and natural resources. We engage with the local and regional community by means of cultural festivals, summer camps for K-12 students, workshops, and other activities hosted onsite throughout the year that take advantage of JPPM’s rich archaeological, agricultural, environmental, and historical resources.
