IDEA 2020 Information

IDEA 2020 is a Spin off of the Tuscia University that foster an economic and social development based on initiatives in which environmental responsibility and social inclusion are fundamental and integrated components of a long term sustainable growth. We adopt the “multifunctional” view of agricultural practices as paradigm in rural development projects. The multiple functions of traditional and small scale agriculture share some common features such as : - being oriented to the local territory where agricultural household operate; - contributing to the local social capital, stressing linkages at local level between agricultural enterprises and other actors of the community. The “multifunctional” approach to rural and agricultural development: - recognizes the local roots of every agricultural enterprises and encourages the social impact of local and sustainable development; - fosters actions that are coherent with the natural, historical, cultural and social resources of local communities.
