HitMaker Music School Information

HitMaker Music School provides music lessons for the Leander, Cedar Park, Liberty Hill, Lago Vista and Georgetown, TX areas. Students in private music lessons have the opportunity to learn what it takes to play in a group or as solo. We have a lot of fun in playing with other students and preparing for recitals. What makes us unique is our emphasis on performance. Not every student wants to perform and we don't force it but we believe in at least playing through an entire song with the instructor as a reasonable goal. Part of our process is learning about the form of a song, in other words, what sections of melody and chord changes come in what order. Understanding the way a song or piece of music is constructed is important in giving students the ability to learn faster and faster. One of the first steps in beginning the journey to understand music and form is the learning the Blues. We are a modern music school that caters to those who want to play music from 1940 or later. Most of our students are learning classic rock songs, classic and new country, jazz standards, and today's hits. our passion is giving the students a chance to learn about music they may have never heard of before.
