Forma Information

Forma is one of Europe’s leading contemporary arts organisation and production hub based in London and working with cultural partners worldwide. Established in 2001, Forma has carved out a reputation as an artist-driven organisation that embraces risk taking, experimentation and collaboration. Through a discursive process, we nurture an artist’s creative ideas, grow their ambition and develop collaborative projects that are career defining and lead to new major opportunities around the world. We commission artists at all stages of their career, supporting them over sustained periods of time. We offer commissioning, fundraising and production expertise, and we present projects in partnership with cultural institutions across the UK and internationally. We pride ourselves on being an organisation that artists and cultural organisations want to work with. In short, Forma is where ideas become art. Our team works from FormaHQ, a RIBA award winning cultural hub located in Bermondsey, London that is to home to our offices, affordable artist studios, a cafe bookshop (Presse Books), a residency space for visiting and international artists, a rooftop garden and lastly a public events space where our specialist team of curators, producers and publishers oversee the public programme which ties the many spaces of the building together. Forma is a registered charity (1152156) and an Arts Council England funded National Portfolio Organisation.
