We are building a Migration Museum for Britain. A place where we can explore how the movement of people to and from Britain across the ages has shaped who we are – as individuals, as communities, and as a nation. Migration is a pressing contemporary issue and is at the centre of polarised political and online debate. But there’s an underlying story of comings and goings stretching back many centuries. This story goes to the heart of who we are today. Britain has thousands of museums, but none focused on this important theme that connects us all. We now have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to deliver a permanent Migration Museum for the UK. Due for completion in 2028, the Migration Museum will be situated in a new, purpose built location, close to the Tower of London. It will lie at the heart of national network of partners, stretching across the UK. What we do: ⚡ Delight audiences with engaging exhibitions and dynamic events 💡 Inspire young people through an education programme for primary, secondary and university learners. 🤝 Empower people working in cultural institutions across the UK to shed new light on how migration has shaped our communities. Do you want to change the narrative around migration? We are seeking ambitious funders and trailblazing corporate partners who share our passion for this project. Whether you want to contribute behind the scenes, or name a space in the museum, we warmly welcome all kinds and levels of support. Please email supporters@migrationmuseum.org
