Excel Aquatics Information

Excel Aquatics is the Capital Region's leading private swim instruction facility, founded in 2012 and based in Colonie, NY. We specialize in 1:1 private lessons for children (ages 3–13) and adults, taught in our dedicated indoor pool at 1770 Central Ave. Our proprietary curriculum emphasizes water safety, proper technique, and individualized progress — not the one-size-fits-all approach of group lessons. Our facility features a warm-water (88°F), state-of-the-art pool with a purification system, shallow-entry stairs, private changing stalls, and ADA-accessible bathrooms. Enrollment is consistently waitlisted, reflecting sustained demand in an underserved market. Programs include weekly private lessons, drop-in sessions, summer fast-track, adaptive swim lessons, and pre-competitive swimming for kids, plus adult beginner programs.
