Escapade Music Festival Information

For more than 5 years, Escapade Music Festival has presented and produced music events that bring together thousands of people to celebrate music and life. We work hard to create innovative and immersive environments while also keeping our guests safe. Our safety and security plans are coordinated and refined over many months with assistance from local authorities and from diverse experts. At the festival, the Event Control Center monitors all aspects of the festival while running and other matters to ensure the safety of all guests, staff and artists. Escapade Music Festival has a zero-tolerance policy for drugs. We also rely on our guests to celebrate with us in a responsible manner. The minimum age for Escapade Music Festival guests is 16 years old. At Escapade Music Festival, we want you to dance, play and enjoy the music and the experience. But please take care of yourself and each other. Guests at our events often enjoy vigorous physical activity including dancing and people will sometimes get sick from overheating and dehydration. Drinking lots of water has always been encouraged and is a good idea...But, be aware that drinking too much plain water may not be enough! Some of the medical problems occurring at music events have been associated with low levels of electrolytes that are lost, along with water, when a person becomes dehydrated. Such low levels of electrolytes, especially salt, can lead to brain swelling, seizures, heart problems and even death. Like athletes in sporting events, your body needs to replace the minerals AND the water it is losing in sweat. Sports drinks containing electrolytes (like Gatorade and Powerade) provide these essential electrolytes and should supplement the water you drink to rehydrate your body. Drugs can make the low electrolyte level worse and increase your chances of harm.
