Established in 2011. American Ballroom: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese, Peabody, Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Mambo Club dances: Hustle, West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango, Lindy Hop, Salsa, Merengue Wedding Dances: First Dance, Father/Daughter, Mother/Son. Competition: Amateur and Professional. No partner required! Begun in August of 2011, Elegant Dancing, Inc. was the brainchild of Chris Thompson and Una Lee, both longtime teachers, competitors, studio owners and managers. Our original concept was to open "a boutique style studio" with ultra-personal attention to each student's needs, and focusing on primarily social dancing. Within only a few months Elegant dancing grew as if it had a life of its own! The response to their client-centered, fun-first personal approach was so well received by area dancers that both students and teachers sought them out to make private lessons, group classes, practice parties and outings a regular part of their week. As they have grown to 10 teachers, offering social and competitive, American and International styles of dance, Chris and Una have maintained their original mission of providing the highest quality instruction at an affordable price, always putting the customer first.
