Context Teaching is a global profession preparing the world's citizens for their future while responding to realities of today's communities and schools. Effective schools depend on teachers, teaching assistants, and school leaders who enable all students to learn. Effective teachers, teaching assistants, and school leaders continually revise practice based on new knowledge and insights into the characteristics of effective schools and the teaching/learning process. Expectations of effective teachers, as presented in nationally validated/valued standards (e.g. Australian PST, UK QTS, and USA InTASC) and of school leaders (e.g. USA ISLLC), provide structure for pre and in-service educator professional development worldwide.
