Ecotone Information

Ecotone is a New York City-based design-build firm specializing in technically complex wellness environments. Since 2012, the firm has operated at the intersection of architecture, engineering coordination, fabrication, and construction, delivering highly integrated amenity systems for residential towers, hospitality developments, and private wellness spaces. Our work focuses on thermal spa environments, pools, gyms, and other integrated amenity systems within buildings. These projects require precise coordination between architectural assemblies, mechanical systems, structural elements, and specialty fabrication. As a result, Ecotone operates differently from traditional architecture offices: our BIM models are developed not only for design documentation but also to support engineering coordination, shop drawing development, fabrication, and construction execution. Ecotone’s technical design team works directly within this design-build workflow, producing highly detailed Revit models that integrate architectural components with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems. These models become the foundation for consultant coordination, construction documentation, and field implementation. The firm collaborates with leading architects, developers, and contractors while maintaining an in-house technical design process that emphasizes buildability, precision detailing, and construction integration. Our projects frequently require solving complex spatial, mechanical, and fabrication challenges, making technical BIM proficiency central to our workflow. Ecotone’s studio culture prioritizes craftsmanship, technical rigor, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
