The mission of DurhamCares is to work toward a more caring, connected, and just Durham. We envision a city where everyone loves their neighbors. Our Values: We are motivated and guided by the life and work of Jesus Christ. We listen to all voices, particularly those on the margins. We value collaboration that is inclusive, equitable and holistic. We educate, train, and equip others. Our program areas: Durham Pilgrimage of Pain and Hope: A weekend immersion of visiting sites, hearing speakers, and spending time in reflection on how our stories, Durham's story, and God's story connect. Church Mobilization Network: We connect churches in Durham for community flourishing.
