Seaturtle.org's mission is to organize the world's sea turtle information and make it universally accessible and useful. Seaturtle.org seeks to revolutionize sea turtle conservation efforts by shifting the existing paradigm of data ownership to one of open-access and collaboration. We develop easy-to-use information systems that enable enthusiasts, volunteers, resource managers, conservationists, and researchers to easily participate in collaborative conservation efforts that provide intuitive ways for individual contributors to share their data and information with colleagues and engage the general public. The end result is a network-enabled, centralized information system that can be accessed from anywhere by anyone.
