For over 80 years, Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) has played a significant role in supporting and meeting the needs of Deaf and hard of hearing Canadians. We are an industry-leading provider of services, products and education that empower the Deaf and hard of hearing to overcome barriers to participation, and we are the largest and only Accredited organization of its kind in North America. We have several CHS locations across Ontario and offer many of our services virtually across Canada. In addition to serving Deaf and hard of hearing clients, we also work diligently to champion accessibility in the workplace, providing accessibility, employment and education services to various businesses across Canada and across many sectors, such as healthcare, education, government and the legal field. The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) is the nation's premier civil rights organization of, by and for deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the United States of America. Established in 1880, the NAD was shaped by deaf leaders who believed in the right of the American deaf community to use sign language, to congregate on issues important to them, and to have its interests represented at the national level. These beliefs remain true to this day, with American Sign Language as a core value. The advocacy scope of the NAD is broad, covering a lifetime and impacting future generations in the areas of early intervention, education, employment, health care, technology, telecommunications, youth leadership, and more – improving the lives of millions of deaf and hard of hearing Americans. The NAD also carries out its federal advocacy work through coalition efforts with specialized national deaf and hard of hearing organizations, as well as coalitions representing national cross-disability organizations. The NAD is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by the generosity of individual and organizational donors, including corporations and foundations.

Who is HASA? We provide prevention, treatment, and advocacy in the area of communication INTERPRETING Serving businesses, public institutions, individuals, and families throughout Maryland with interpreting services, American Sign Language (ASL) classes and Deaf awareness workshops. EDUCATION SERVICES Gateway School was founded in 1957 and is a 12-month, nonpublic, coeducational facility for children ages 5 through 15 with autism, development disabilities, and communication disorders. We are approved by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). Gateway School meets the criteria for non-public tuition assistance and private pay students also attend. Our state-of-the-art campus offers bright classrooms equipped with 21st-century classroom technology, speech-language therapy rooms, a library, a fine arts room, auditorium, gymnasium, and playground. HEARING & SPEECH-LANGUAGE SERVICES Comprehensive on-site audiology, speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, and fluency enhancement services. Most major insurances accepted.
