Founded in 1999 by Dan Thiessen and his sons, Dansons began with a simple yet powerful vision to turn sawmill waste into a reliable energy source. Over time, the business evolved from horse and animal bedding to high-quality pellet fuel and pellet grills. The company experienced tremendous growth over the last decade as Pit Boss grills and pellet fuel gained national brand awareness and partnered with national retailers to help build the pellet grill category. In 2023, Dansons was acquired by W. C. Bradley Co. W. C. Bradley Co. is a global diversified holding company, headquartered in Columbus, Georgia. Founded in 1885, it is privately held, now reaching into its 7th generation of family ownership.
